Island Retreat with Mark Fehlman

Paint Along

Mark has selected "Island Retreat, because it has a strong ’S” compositional diagram with the curving road, and the geometric shapes of the “Cape Cod” style houses.
It is ideal for teaching how to build a painting and how to create a strong sense of light enhanced by dark shapes. Also, Mark will talk about editing a scene and how to intensify colors by setting them next to more muted color shapes.
Paint a beautiful and classic small town scene from the East Coast. Get the feel of sunshine on the cottages with beautiful flowers in the foreground.
